CityView Event Best Practices
Remember…
Be a good steward of the building, your team, and the event.
You own your event, but you can ask for help.
Everything CityView does, including events, promotes the mission: help people belong, believe and become.
Before Event
Your Co-Leader - Recruit a co-leader because life happens.
Your Team - Recruit a team because the Event Coordinator can’t be 5 different people on Event Day.
Ahead of Time - Prepare and shop and set up ahead of time, not the day of.
During Event
Be Hospitable - If you don’t think this way, add someone to your team who does. Think music, refreshments, signage, decor, environments, etc.
Next Steps - Always give a Next Step for people at the event, such as, coming to church, baptism, Belong Groups, serving, invite a friend, etc.
After Event
Clean Up, Pick Up, Store Away - The event isn’t over until everything is cleaned up, picked up, and all the supplies, games, decor, etc. are stored away in the appropriate places on campus.
Follow Up - Thank your team, thank attendees, and remind people of their next step.
